The purpose of the Jacob Handl (Jacobus Gallus) Edition is to publish and disseminate reliable texts of Handl's Opus Musicum via the Internet. Texts have been edited from original sources, and include historical and performance notes, and, where possible, facsimile excerpts from principal sources.

All of these documents are distributed in Acrobat (PDF) format, which allows unlimited access, distribution, printing, and text searching, but protects the integrity of the documents by preventing editing or reformatting. All documents are formatted for printing on ordinary letter-size paper.
