The Wall Choirs, directed by Fredric Woodbridge Wilson, were in existence from 1969 through 1981. Over that time they presented, collectively, more than 450 concerts and other appearances, and made about twelve recordings on long-playing records. The "core" ensembles were the Wall Chamber Choir (16 to 24 voices selected by audition, performing unaccompanied repertoire) and the Wall Concert Choir (48 to 60 voices); other ensembles included the Apollo Society (men's chorus), the Girls' Choir, the Chorus, the Wall Youth Choir (ages 9-11, 80 voices selected by audition), a barbershop quartet, and other occasional groups. The choirs appeared most often in and around Wall Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, but they also performed in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and many other locations. Typically the choirs' repertory changed four times each concert season.
