If I walk around the neighborhood, off property will I be quarantined?

Yes, you will be quarantined upon your return. Therefore, during the month of May, we recommend that you avoid walking in the neighborhood and walk around the property instead.

If I walk around the neighborhood and take an Uber or taxi back will I be quarantined?

Yes, if you take an Uber or taxi back, you will be quarantined. We suggest that you walk around the exterior of the building.

Since the Mayor has opened up golf courses, parks and beaches, am I able to play golf or go to the beaches or parks?

If you decide to play golf, go to the beach or go to the park, you will be quarantined for 14 days upon your return to the community. Now, more than ever, we need you to stay at home and help protect our vulnerable population.

If I order something online am I able to pick it up curbside at the store with no contact from store workers?

No, you are not able to pick up your order at curbside. We recommend you have your order delivered directly to Arcadia or 15 Craigside. If this is not an option, please see your Community’s Resident Services Manager.

Am I able to do a curbside/drive thru pickup for my prescriptions if delivery is not an option?

No. If you need to pick up your prescriptions curbside/drive thru, please contact your Community’s Resident Services Manager to arrange for your prescriptions to be picked up by family or staff.

Can I leave to pick up takeout food orders?

No, please utilize DoorDash or another provider to have your takeout food orders delivered directly to your respective community.

I would like to start my car and drive it around the block, am I able to do this?

No. If you would like to have your car driven around the block, please let the Parking Attendant know and they can take care of that for you.

As hospitals are starting to schedule elective surgeries again, if I have an elective surgery, will I be quarantined?

Yes, if a resident does have an elective surgery performed, the resident will be quarantined upon his/her return to the community. Therefore, we encourage residents to delay elective surgeries for as long as safely possible.

If I go to a medical appointment, will I be quarantined?

Residents who leave the facility for other essential medical appointments (but are not hospitalized) will need to be placed on a 14 day quarantine after the outside appointment in order to monitor for signs/symptoms of infection.

How will Arcadia/15 Craigside know if I leave the property? Will I be required to let Arcadia/15 Craigside know where I am going if I do have to leave the property?

Residents must report to the Reception Desk when they are leaving the community and for what purpose. This will assist Management in correctly identifying which residents will be subject to quarantine and remind them (beforehand) that if they still choose to leave they will be quarantined.

Can I visit my family in their home?

At this time, residents are not to leave the community to visit family members in their homes. If they decide to visit, they will be subject to quarantine once they return to the community.

Can my family/friends drop things off for me? What is the procedure? Can I meet them at the front entrance?

Yes, family/friends are able to drop off items to a resident at both communities and are required to leave items with Parking or Security. The items will then be delivered to the resident. We prefer that residents do not meet family/friends at the front entrance.

Where do I leave things for family/friends to pick up from me?

If residents have items to be picked up by family/friends, items can be left with the Reception Desk.

Are masks mandatory within the community?

All residents are required to wear masks when outside their apartments in common areas. Remember, if you use cloth masks, you should launder them daily.

Do I have to wear a face mask when I do my laundry?

Yes, a face mask should be worn any time a resident is out of his/her apartment.

If I don’t have a reusable mask will 15C/ARR provide me with one?

If you need a reusable mask please contact your Community’s Resident Services Manager.

If I am just going for a walk do I need to wear a mask?

Yes, if you are anywhere outside of your apartment such as common areas like hallways, lobby areas, as well as outside of the building, you should be wearing a face mask.

Will I be quarantined if I go out and have my hair done?

Yes, you will undergo quarantine if you leave the community to have your hair done.

When can I get my hair cut?

Salon services are considered non-essential and will probably be one of the last services that will be resumed in each community.

Will I be able to ride my bike on my usual route?

At this time, you will not be able to ride your bike on your usual route. If you choose to do so, you will be quarantined upon your return to the community.

Is it recommended to wear gloves inside the community in common areas?

No, glove use is not a substitute for proper hand hygiene. The best way to protect yourself is to frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use alcohol based hand sanitizer. As a reminder best times to perform hand hygiene are included below:

Before, during, and after preparing food

Before eating food

Before and after caring for someone at home who is sick with vomiting or diarrhea

Before and after treating a cut or wound

After using the toilet

After touching high touch surfaces

After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste

After handling pet food or pet treats

After touching garbage

Can I be tested for COVID-19 if I would like to?

If you would like to be tested, please contact your Primary Care Physician. If you need assistance with this, please call the Clinic in your community.

Does the community have the ability to provide telemedicine visits?

Yes, both communities have been utilizing telehealth to continue virtual physician visits. If you would like to set up a telehealth appointment with one of your providers, please contact the Clinic in your community.

Does the community utilize virtual (family) visits through platforms such as Facetime, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams?

Yes, both communities can assist you in setting up a virtual visit with your family or friends. Please contact the IT Department to assist you with this.

How long will these rules be in place?

These rules will be in place through May 31st. As the COVID-19 situation continues to change, we are monitoring it to determine what changes need to be made with each community.
