Stay Ready, Stay Safe

Residents at 15 Craigside and Arcadia prepared for hurricane season and other emergencies during Emergency Preparedness Fairs held at both communities. The fairs featured information on hurricane preparedness, emergency alarm systems, fire extinguisher use, assembling a personal emergency “go bag,” and preparing for power outages. To help residents build their emergency supplies, each resident received a lantern, bottled water, and toilet paper for their apartment. Giveaways, including emergency radios and other preparedness items, made the events both educational and engaging, helping residents feel informed, confident, and better prepared for emergencies.

Cultivating Community

 Arcadia residents enjoyed a morning at Kokua Learning Farm, participating in modified gardening activities before gathering in the backyard garden for a fresh salad and fruit lunch featuring produce from the

Aina Farm Stand.

Honoring America’s 250th

 The Arcadia Arts and Crafts Committee’s July Gallery Wall has become a resident favorite, with many calling it the best display yet. Honoring America’s 250th birthday, the display highlights the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights while recognizing the individuals who helped shape our democracy. Historic photographs and U.S. postage stamps further celebrate America’s diversity, natural beauty, and spirit of innovation.

A Sizzling Start to Summer

Nothing says summer like a barbecue! Residents at 15 Craigside and the Health Care Center welcomed the season with hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelon, s'mores, shave ice, beach ball fun and lots of laughter. It was the perfect way to kick off the summer season!

A Sweet Waikiki Outing

Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia residents enjoyed a fun holo holo to Barefoot Beach Cafe, where they cooled off with refreshing Dole Whip treats. They then took a leisurely stroll along the beach, enjoying the warm sunshine and fresh ocean breeze as they admired the natural beauty of Waikiki.

A Pasta-tively Great Lunch Outing

Arcadia Adult Day Care clients enjoyed lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory, where they chose from a variety of pasta dishes.

Spinning Songs and Memories

Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia residents took a trip down memory lane, listening to vinyl records on a classic record player and reminiscing about their favorite albums. First popularized in the mid-1900s, vinyl records continue to be cherished for their warm sound and nostalgic charm.
