Milky Way Hawaii
Summer is here and the refreshing treats are near! The Milky Way Hawaii Ice truck visited 15 Craigside, Arcadia, Arcadia Adult Day Care Center, and Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia to serve delicious and sweet drinks to residents, clients, members, and employees. Their extensive menu includes classic milk teas, fruit smoothies, and iced teas with toppings like Boba, Aiyu jelly, and fresh fruit. They are known for creating a shave ice and smoothie drink, combining two delights into one. The sight of the brightly colored truck brought smiles and excitement to everyone. People eagerly lined up, chatting and laughing while they waited for their treats. It was a perfect way to cool down and enjoy the vibrant flavors of summer.
Iron Chef Competition
The 15 Craigside Health Care Center was magically transformed into Kitchen Stadium, hosting an exciting showdown for residents and staff alike. Four teams competed fiercely with their unique fried rice recipes, each adding their own flavorful twists to this beloved local dish. After the guest judges tasted and deliberated, one team reigned supreme – "Too Hot to Handle" claimed the prestigious golden spoon. Everyone got to sample the delicious dishes afterward!

Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia resident Mrs. Rachel Lee celebrated her 103rd birthday! Her family came to mark this momentous occasion. Mrs. Lee lived at One Kalakaua before joining us in 2019. She has five children, dozens of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. They love their Popo to pieces and are so happy to spend her special day with her in person!
Meditation Walk
May 3rd was National Garden Mediation Day! The resident Landscape Committee at Arcadia collaborated with the Wellness team to organize a meditation event in the garden. Wellness Trainer Sarah Harris led the residents through a calming and introspective meditation session, guiding them to bring awareness to their bodies and minds. Residents carried this newfound mindfulness as they strolled through the serene garden environment, further enhancing their relaxation.
