Trip to the Honolulu Museum of Art

The residents of Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia embarked on a cultural adventure at the Honolulu Museum of Art (HoMA), immersing themselves in the captivating exhibits. Among them, the "Fashioning Aloha" special exhibition offered a fascinating exploration of the evolution of aloha wear, spanning from the 1930s to present day.

The journey continued through time and culture, traversing across the world with a display of ancient art dating from the Neolithic era (c. 10,0000–2000 B.C.E.) to the 6th century. They even marveled at Claude Monet's iconic "Water Lilies," adding a touch of European artistic brilliance to their experience.

Dog Park Blessing

Residents and staff at 15 Craigside came together to bless the new 15C Dog Park! It’s a wonderful addition for resident dogs to frolic freely and for owners to relax beneath the shade of the trees. AFC Chaplain, Dr. Rev. George Scott led the blessing with a prayer and a song even the dogs enjoyed, plus a scattering of salt around the premises.

Sunrise Glow from Jobs Peak

Arcadia Family of Companies Board Chair, Mr. Martin Zorn, captured the breathtaking beauty of the Job Peaks Mountain Range at sunrise. Taken at approximately 5:50 a.m., it reveals the sun delicately casting its first rays upon the mountain summits. The mountain range was named after Moses Job, who ran a store on the base of the mountain in the early 1950s.
