Vaccinating to Stay Safe

As the nation continues to roll out the COVID-19 vaccination, it’s imperative those who are able to take the vaccine do so to help end the pandemic. Because the family of companies achieved such a high vaccination participation rate, we’re proud to be leaders in our industry and the state when it comes to protecting ourselves and others from the corona-virus.

Clifford and Ruth Tokumaru, 15 Craigside residents did their part by getting vaccinated. The Tokumarus said, “We wanted to be part of the solution,” expressing that they want to keep themselves, their friends and relatives safe.

David and Irene Nakamoto, 15 Craigside residents also took the vaccine. Mr. Nakamoto said, “We all need to work together, stick together and take care of one another.”

Celebrating MLK Jr.

Many people celebrate the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in different ways—from delving into his speeches and quotes to watching a documentary about the inspiring figure. Arcadia’s Health Care Center residents colored pictures of MLK Jr. complete with quotes to honor his memory and legacy.

Vaccine Participation

We are proud to report impressive numbers from our first vaccination clinics! 15 Craigside had 95.1% participation; Arcadia Residents had 96.8% participation; Arcadia At Home Members had 93.3% participation; and AFC Employees had 76.68% participation! We look forward to our second round of clinics at 15 Craigside and Arcadia in February.

Popcorn Day at Arcadia

January 19 is National Popcorn Day, and Arcadia residents took the chance to celebrate with one of America’s favorite snacks! Residents enjoyed a DIY popcorn service. Toppings like kakimochi, pretzels, pub mix and assorted candies made this treat one to remember. Residents enjoyed creating their mixes, and some even made popcorn their dinner that evening. Yum!
