Valentine's Day
The Arcadia Family of Companies celebrated Valentine’s Day! 15 Craigside employees were surprised with an appreciation cart filled with chocolate-covered strawberries and other delicious goodies. 15 Craigside’s Health Care Center decorated the Activities Room, crowned a Mr. and Ms. Valentine, and danced to lovely tunes. Arcadia residents were greeted with beautiful roses handed out by the Programs team. The Arcadia Adult Day Care clients spent the day creating adorable crafts and were gifted handmade cards from the staff. Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia residents enjoyed a spectacular tea party. They got dressed up in hats and feather boas, sipped on tea, snacked on mouthwatering treats, and shared heartfelt Valentine’s Day advice. Everyone had a wonderful day filled with love!
Lunar New Year
The Arcadia Family of Companies celebrated Lunar New Year with many fun festivities. Everyone loved the traditional Chinese food and desserts that were served. 15 Craigside, Arcadia, and the Arcadia Adult Day Care were thrilled to have Gee Yung Sports Association visit to perform and bless the communities with a lion dance.
Iolani Palace
Members of Arcadia At Home joined in a self-guided tour of Iolani Palace. It is a living restoration of a proud Hawaiian national identity and a registered National Historic Landmark. Attendees also enjoyed a free concert by the Royal Hawaiian Band in the courtyard at Iolani Palace.
Art Gallery and Delicious Lunch
Arcadia residents spent the afternoon exploring the art gallery at University of Hawaii at Manoa. They walked through the Mai Na Kupuna Mai, From the Ancestors exhibit. The artwork speaks of intergenerational knowledge and the inspiration that is drawn from our kupuna. Prior to the gallery, everyone enjoyed lunch at Fig and Ginger Honolulu.
Yay 90's and Golden Stars
15 Craigside and Arcadia celebrated 205 residents who are 90 and better! Both communities were delighted with flavorful refreshments, drinks, and good company. Arcadia created a wall display of golden stars that represented each resident who were being celebrated.
Yummy Lunch at et al.
Arcadia At Home members enjoyed lunch at et al., located in Kalaha Mkt. by Foodland in Kuono Marketplace. Everyone loved the multi-regional dishes such as Mexican street avocado toast, Maui beets, and lobster rolls prepared with local produce and seasonal ingredients. Et al. derives its name from the Latin term meaning “and others.”
Super Bowl Festivities
Were you cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers? Arcadia residents indulged in fried chicken wings, poke, chips, and beer while watching the game in the Chapel. Hale Ola Kino residents also watched the game in the Living Room while snacking on delicious pupu. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on their fourth Superbowl win!
Tiny Pyramid
Formerly known as JJ Bistro and French Pastry, Arcadia residents took a trip to Tiny Pyramid for lunch. It is a family owned bistro that specializes in Asian fusion cuisine with French-style cooking and south east Asian flavors. Tiny Pyramid offers over 40 French pastries with a twist of island flavors. Their most popular dessert is their famous chocolate mousse pyramid!
