Celebrating 15 Years at 15 Craigside
This month, we celebrate a special milestone: 15 years at 15 Craigside. What began as an idea has grown into a community filled with stories, friendships, and cherished moments. From the staff and residents who have been here since the very beginning to everyone who has walked through our doors and helped shape this community, thank you for being part of our journey.
This anniversary is about the memories, the care, and the compassion that make 15C so special. Celebrations included a special resident dinner and birthday parties for residents and staff, with treats like Niu soft serve, build-your-own cake cups, popcorn, and commemorative “15-Year” pins. Here’s to many more memorable moments ahead!
Inspiring the Next Generation
Farrington High School Health Academy students toured our communities, where employees shared their personal stories, why they chose this work, and what inspires them to stay. Their insight helped students understand the heart and purpose behind serving our kupuna. The students were impressed by the modern, beautiful communities, the thoughtful amenities, and the safeguards that support residents quality of life. Many said they’d love to live here one day, and could even see themselves working here.
Welcoming Jazz Artist Tim Ishii
Arcadia was honored to welcome Tim Ishii, nephew of resident Ms. Marcia Wong, for a special musical performance. Tim, Director of Jazz Studies at UT Arlington, performed with four of his friends. We sincerely thank Tim and his friends for sharing their talent with our community and hope to welcome them back soon!
Stories Behind the Shelves
Arcadia Adult Day Care clients and Arcadia At Home members enjoyed a joint outing to the Hawaii State Library, guided by Library Director Baron Baroza. During the visit, clients and members learned about the building’s rich history. The library is more than 100 years old and is one of Hawaii’s original Carnegie libraries, built through philanthropic support to expand access to public education. Director Baroza introduced the group to the many resources available today, including books, digital services, archives, and community programs.
Adventures Around Every Corner
Arcadia Adult Day Care clients recently embarked on two exciting outings, from discovering the lively attractions of the Honolulu Zoo to enjoying sweet, fresh-baked treats at Tous Les Jours.
Hinamatsuri Tea Party
Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia residents celebrated Girls Day with a delicious spread of fresh sushi and a special treat of soft, handmade mochi from Fujiya Hawaii. The festive tea party was a reminder of the traditions that continue to bring the community together.
Sweet Start to 2026
Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia residents kicked off their first Walk N’ Roll of 2026 with a fun trip to Baskin Robbins.
