YMCA Bridging Generations

The recent collaboration between 15 Craigside and the YMCA brought together residents and youth for meaningful intergenerational activities, showcasing the power of generational exchange in action. One day,

15 Craigside residents shared their wisdom with kids through bon dance, ikebana, and taiko. The next, the roles were reversed as YMCA teens led bingo and origami. These moment of learning and teaching bridge generations and highlights the shared belief that every generation has something to give and something to learn.

Island Vibes at Mat’s Place

“Mat’s Place” is a beloved monthly event in the Arcadia Dining Room, hosted by resident Mr. Mat Sgan. Each month features a new theme, and this one highlighted Hawaii’s Famous Ethnic Restaurants. Residents contributed drinks, while Mrs. June Honda always brings her signature boiled peanuts. Bartender assistants Mr. Vincent Hee, Mr. John Tasato, and Mr. Stanley Sokoloski helped serve tropical favorites like the Mai Tai and Blue Hawaii. More than just drinks and snacks, Mat’s Place is a chance for residents to come together and celebrate creativity.

Cultivating Fun at Kokua Learning Farm

Arcadia residents visited Kokua Learning Farm, where they enjoyed a tour and tried their hand at light farm work. The outing offered a fun and engaging way to connect with nature and learn about sustainable farming.

Savoring Panya Bistro Delights

Arcadia At Home members savored a delightful outing at Panya Bistro & Bakery, enjoying a variety of fresh, flavorful dishes. Everyone left with full hearts, celebrating great food and even greater company.

15 Craigside Kupuna Showcase of Talents

It all started when two residents were sharing stories about the untapped talent within the 15 Craigside community. From that casual conversation, the idea for a talent showcase began to take shape, and to their delight, many residents eagerly volunteered to participate.

Featuring an inspiring lineup of singers, dancers, magicians, and storytellers, each participant shared their gifts and passions with friends and neighbors. More than just a show, it was an opportunity for residents to relive fond memories, reenergize their spirits, and celebrate the joy of community.

At 15 Craigside, the Kupuna Showcase of Talents served as a beautiful reminder that together, residents uplift and empower one another to live their best lives.

A Taste of Na Mea Ono

15 Craigside residents enjoyed another Na Mea Ono “The Delicious Place” Ramen Bar, customizing bowls with flavorful broths and toppings like eggs, shrimp tempura, pork, gyoza, and green onion.

Pumpkins, Seeds and Fun

Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia residents got into the Halloween spirit by carving pumpkins and roasting the seeds for a tasty treat.
