St. Patrick’s Day at the AFC
The AFC celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with food, music, crafts and lots of fun!
The St. Patrick’s Day celebrations were in full force throughout the Arcadia Family of Companies. At the Arcadia Adult Day Care, clients enjoyed crafting lucky shamrocks, while Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia hosted a Pub Crawl complete with a temporary tattoo parlor, photo booth, games, food, drinks, and crafts. Over at 15 Craigside, the Na Mea Ono “The Delicious Place” Cocktail Hour treated residents to corned beef sliders and potato wedges, all while being entertained by the Little Big Band. Arcadia also celebrated with a festive pop-up bar, where resident Mr. Matt Sgan turned bartender and crafted drinks for residents to enjoy. “May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.“
Happy in Haleiwa
15 Craigside residents ventured up north, visiting the charming Haleiwa Store Lots. They explored the unique shops and art galleries before capping off the excursion with a beloved treat—Matsumoto Shave Ice—enjoying the refreshing, flavorful dessert that has become a North Shore favorite.
Sacred Hearts Golf Tournament
The Sacred Hearts Golf Invitational, held on March 17 and 18 at the Mid-Pacific Country Club, brought together 40 of the top high school female golfers from across the State of Hawaii. Hosted by Sacred Hearts Academy, this two-day event aimed to grow the sport of golf within the female youth community, expose recreational high school female golfers to high-level competition, and promote the lifelong benefits of the sport. Following the final round on March 18, the Arcadia Family of Companies proudly sponsored the awards banquet at the Mid-Pacific Country Club.
Artistic Achievements and Cultural Journeys
Arcadia residents visited the Downtown Arts Center to explore a stunning exhibit by the Hawaii Watercolor Society. The showcase highlighted the beauty and talent of local artists, with Arcadia’s very own Mrs. Joyce Ono featured among them! Residents proudly admired her work, celebrating her artistic achievement.
Mr. Yoshi Nomura, an avid traveler and photographer, and resident of Arcadia who enjoys sharing his travel experiences with others. He explored Turkey, a country at the crossroads of West Asia and Southeast Europe, to experience its mix of Ottoman, Islamic, and European cultures. Through his captivating photography and narratives, Mr. Nomura has offered a glimpse into the vibrant history and unique cultural fusion of Turkey.
Mardi Gras at HOKA
Residents at Hale Ola Kino by Arcadia celebrated Mardi Gras by crafting beautiful masks. It also happened to be Malasada Day, and resident Ms. Gwendolyn Tom made her “Easy Malasadas” to share with everyone!
Honolulu Zoo Adventure
Arcadia Adult Day Care clients enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the Honolulu Zoo, taking in the vibrant wildlife and lush landscapes.
