Na Mea Ono Cocktail Hour
Residents at 15 Craigside experienced a delightful blend of music and culinary excellence during their Na Mea Ono (The Delicious Place) Cocktail Hour. The smooth melodies from Jolz Duo set the perfect tone for an evening of pleasure. Chef Jordan and his talented team crafted a menu that impressed guests with its innovation and flavors. Standouts included mini bao buns filled with savory delights, aromatic lemongrass potstickers, and refreshing jackfruit lettuce wraps. The mango chia seed pudding offered a delightful palate cleanser, while the crab cakes topped with pineapple salsa over spicy aioli provided a harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors. Each dish was meticulously prepared, highlighting Chef Jordan’s culinary artistry and commitment to creating memorable dining experiences.
4th of July Happy Hour
Arcadia residents enjoyed their monthly Aloha Hour with a 4th of July theme. Everyone celebrated July birthdays while indulging in delicious pupu and drinks. Pianist Terry Tom played beautiful melodies that got some residents on their feet and dancing to the music. Even though the holiday was a few weeks ago, everyone brought their patriotic spirit!
Tea and Biscuit TB Clinic
The Tea and Biscuits TB Clinic visited Arcadia At Home members, offering them with a welcoming environment to undergo their TB tests. Following the screenings, participants had the opportunity to enjoy refreshing Milky Way Ice drinks. The clinic aimed to make healthcare more accessible and enjoyable through activities.
Bon Dance at Honpa Hongwanji
Residents of 15 Craigside enjoyed a memorable evening at Honpa Hongwanji, where they participated in the vibrant festivities of Bon Dance. The event provided not only a chance to celebrate together but also an opportunity for residents to deepen their connection with the traditions and community spirit of Honpa Hongwanji.
Celebration at Arcadia Adult Day Care
Clients at Arcadia Adult Day Care enjoyed a delightful afternoon at Mango Mango, gathering to indulge in a special treat and celebrate Ms. Remedios Shiroma's 85th birthday. The event featured beautiful floral arrangements, a delicious birthday cake, engaging craft activities, live entertainment, and lively Jan Ken Po game sessions for interactive fun.

Elizabeth McCutheon, a resident of 15 Craigside, has once again published a new work titled "Writings of a Well-Learned Gentlewoman." This latest publication continues her academic exploration into Margaret More Roper, the daughter of Sir Thomas More, renowned for her contributions to literature, including her writings related to "Utopia.”
Martin Zorn's Journey in the Pinenuts
Arcadia Family of Companies Board Chair Martin Zorn was exploring the Pinenuts about a mile from his home when he encountered a band of horses in the late afternoon. With only his iPhone at hand, he captured the scene of these horses enjoying the natural springs and water holes in their unfenced, open habitat. These horses, whose bloodlines trace back to the original Spanish imports, symbolize the spirit of complete freedom in this rugged landscape.
